The Sugar & Spice Ranch offers a genuine bonding experience for mothers and daughters, as well as friends and families. Enjoy fun, quality time together as you learn about horsewomanship and ranch life in the beautiful Texas Hill Country. Mother and daughter camps operate all summer. From September to May the ranch is available weekends for girlfriend getaways and family vacations.

About The Sugar & Spice Ranch
The Sugar & Spice Ranch was designed as a venue for bringing mothers and daughters closer together, and the ranch continues to do so today. Due to repeated requests from guests, the Sugar & Spice Ranch now also offers Family Weekend Packages and Women Only Group Getaways, as well as Corporate Team Building Weekends from September to May.
Owner Leigh McCourt, a mother of two daughters, has found over the years horses are in tune with the emotions of the people around them and therefore these majestic animals often unite people unexpectedly. Guests at the ranch enjoy developing a relationship with their own horse, even as they are deepening their family bonds. Moms also enjoy comfortable lodgings, great food, a dedicated staff and lots of time to learn, laugh and enjoy ranch life with their daughters, friends, or families.

Been There
"We had an awesome week! Great horses, staff, accommodations & food! The schedule was just right–with time to relax included! We were newbies to horses- by the end of the week we felt that we had learned much… Leigh & Cowboy Jack were great!"
- Leigh & Frankie (mother & daughter), TX

What Else?
The ranch is located in Bandera, a Texas town steeped in the history of the Old West and set in the stunning Texas Hill Country. Bandera is known as "The Cowboy Capital of the World," and is also home to a stretch of the famous Old Spanish Trail, once used used for cattle drives from Mexico to Wyoming. This authentic little town adds to the genuine western atmosphere of the Sugar & Spice Ranch, though the ranch also features several modern day comforts like a swimming pool, air conditioning, a lovely bathroom with a jacuzzi tub, great food and feminine touches like fresh flowers.
