We believe that there is a Gutsy Woman
inside each of us, one who occasionally
needs to make time for herself — to
refresh and renew the mind, body, and
spirit; reconnect to her inner being;
and establish bonds with other women.
Women are traditionally caregivers,
regularly placing the needs of everyone
else ahead of their own. Yet it is
important that women take the time
to nurture themselves, for it is giving
to yourself that puts your life into
better balance.
Our programs focus on the needs of women
who want to travel as women like to travel
(which is distinctly different from how
men undertake their own explorations),
and they have been designed to appeal
to the multi-tasking nature of women.
Our tours incorporate a variety of elements
which our research has shown are important
to women: safety; hotel location; quality
and comfort in accommodations; trip pacing
(there are no early morning departures
and guests generally stay at least two
days in any given hotel); intimate experiences;
the opportunity to meet local people;
plus free time for individual exploration.
Additionally, most programs are seven
days’ duration or less as we recognize
that women are time-deprived and often
do not have more time to spend on themselves.
