Eurynome Journeys’ WanderWoman™ travel
vacations are designed to provide exciting,
yet hassle-free, alternatives to the
typical group tour. The pace of these
women-only trips is leisurely with ample
time to explore the charm of each destination.
Enjoy locally guided private tours of “must
see” sights, museums, and galleries.
Challenge yourself with scenic walks
and hikes. Or partake in optional activities
such as kayaking, a local cooking class,
or drawing workshop. The group sizes
are small (approximately 6-14) enabling
stays at unique smaller hotels and inns
with local ambiance and dining at quaint
local restaurants.
The itineraries, whether island hopping
in beautiful Greece, exploring the ancient
wonders of Egypt, or touring the grandeur
of Russia, highlight women in myth, history,
and culture. Upcoming tours include Ireland,
the Maine Coast, Greek Islands, Egypt,
Malta, Russia, and a New Year's Escape

The itinerary of Eurynome Journeys' upcoming
WanderWoman™ travel adventure
to Ireland is based on the life of
Grace O'Malley (Granuaile), a 16th-century
Irish pirate queen. This extraordinary
Celtic woman commanded a fleet of 200
fighting men and won castles by war
and love. This trip is not a history
tour per se, but history and local
lore are woven into the tour itinerary
providing a focus for the journey.
While traversing through the beautiful
western regions of the emerald isle,
this travel adventure brings you to
magical places associated with Granuaile's
life and with the many legends about
her. Best-selling author Anne Chambers,
biographer of Grace O'Malley, joins
the group for a special tour of "Grace
O'Malley country." Also a local
archaeologist will accompany the group
on an exploration of the archaeology
and natural wonders of beautiful Connemara.
This is a great trip for the first-time
traveler to Ireland, as well as for
returning visitors.
