Yoga & Outdoor Fitness in Montana Big Sky Country
Come to legendary Montana Big Sky Country for a luxury yoga retreat combined with a seasonal outdoor fitness focus. In winter, enjoy world-class skiing and learn how yoga can improve your skills on the slopes. Spring yoga weekends offer a refreshing mix of yoga, hiking and outdoor fun. Summer retreats unite yoga, horseback riding and spectacular mountain scenery for a unique equestrian adventure.

About Big Sky Yoga Retreats
The seed for Big Sky Yoga Retreats was planted when Margaret Burns Vap, founder of Georgetown Yoga in Washington, DC and former marketing exec for cosmetics giant L’Oreal, decided to move to Montana with her family. Margaret and her husband David, who is a native Montanan, had been saying for years that the Big Sky state would be the perfect destination for a yoga retreat. Margaret has combined her love of Montana’s best outdoor activities – skiing, hiking and horseback riding – with her passion for yoga to offer unique, active vacations.

Been There
“The stunning panorama was the perfect backdrop for what I can safely say was the most amazing yoga practice I have ever had. Margaret expertly guided us through the asanas in a way that felt as natural as the beautiful surroundings and I left each class feeling both invigorated and serene at the same time, overtaken by an inner peace that I was able to carry with me long after the retreat ended.” - Tara, DC

"Words cannot express how amazing the weekend was...You provided a place where it was safe to let go, to open yourself up, to be in the moment. Every last detail was taken care of so that we didn’t have to worry about anything... As women, we tend to spend a lot of our time taking care of everyone around us. It was such a gift to have those two days to take care of ourselves...We are better wives, mothers, and friends because of it!" -Amy, MT

"Thank you so much for a wonderful retreat! Take it from someone who has 'been there, done that', you have created something quite unique and wonderful; an experience I will always treasure and feel lucky to have participated in." -Betsy, CA

What Else?
Our philosophy is that yoga helps you do anything better; it complements and improves every aspect of your life. You’ll experience this firsthand by blending yoga practice with our featured outdoor activity, and experience the peace that comes from yoga and becoming more connected to nature. We’ll also offer techniques for how to integrate yoga into your post-retreat life with less effort, not as just another item on your to-do list.
