About Adventure
Associates
For 21 exciting years, “women who
dared” have traveled with Adventure
Associates beyond the beaten path in
order to nourish their curiosity about
distant lands, colorful cultures and
wild creatures! Along with their interest
in cultivating a more global awareness,
our “Real Travellers” share
a lively spirit of adventure and a love
of the natural world. Our mission is
to create travel opportunities that promote
an ethic of care, and nurture a sense
of global relationship. Each of our programs
promises to honor this mission. When
women travel together there is a network
of support created in which they are
motivated to create change and nurture
their own strength. Routine is broken;
roles change. When she travels to new
horizons or turns to the outdoors, she
encounters infinite gifts: physical adventure,
spiritual enlightenment, unencumbered
freedom and deep-rooted connection. Adventure
Associates invites women to discover
these gifts.
Been There
“On an all women tour, there is
a unique opportunity for camaraderie,
conversation, and challenging oneself
in a safe and wholesome way. The inner
strength of each of us becomes more apparent – I
like exploring that strength in myself
and appreciate a more core connection
with other women. It has also become
quite popular for companies to advertise
their respect of the environment and
cultural sensitivity during their trips.
Adventure Associates has actually lived
that ethic for the past 20 years.”

What Else?
Onboard a traditional Vietnamese “Junk”,
cruise exotic islets of limestone jutting
out of the sea stopping to kayak through
secret caves, lagoons and bays. Shop
the Mekong’s famous floating markets
and Tam Duong’s vibrant and colorful
market which attracts the local H'mong
hill tribes such as Black & Lan Ten
Dzao and the Nung people, who often come
dressed in their beautiful skirts and
plaid headdresses. Ride along local roads
and trails through beautiful cornfields
and rice terraces to farming villages
of the Black Dzao and Lu people. Interact
with the local villagers here as they
carry out their daily tasks of weaving
and rice farming. In Hue, explore the
ancient Imperial Capital of Vietnam,
biking along the Perfume River and through
the high-walled Citadel to Thien Mu Pagoda,
the most important Buddhist pagoda overlooking
the river.
The difference between a merely good
trip and an outstanding travel experience
is often the result of excellent leadership.
We are confident that our trip leaders
are the best in the business. Each of
them brings a wealth of experience, enthusiasm
and expertise to the trip. We invite
you to join us on an adventure crafted
by experts that is both exhilarating
and rejuvenating and contributes in a
positive way to our global community.
